The Ministry of Industrialization and Trade certified that certain entities of the CRVW Group of Companies have permission to operate during the Namibian state of emergency period as stipulated in Proclamation no. 9 by the President of the Republic of Namibia on the 28th of March 2020.
In line with above, our physical office is open for business from 07:30 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 13:30 on Friday’s.
Considering the regulations of the extended lockdown period, most of our staff members will continue to work from home and only critical contacts have returned to operate from the office.
On 20 March, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Bank of Namibia called a special meeting considering the recent extra-ordinary events emanating from the COVID-19 pandemic. The MPC cut the Reop rate with 100 basis points to 5.25 percent following a review of the global, regional and domestic economic and financial developments
CRVW is open, we did however implement a work from home/off-site strategy from 16 March 2020 until further notice and will evaluate the situation continuously. On 19 February, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Bank of Namibia held its bi-monthly meeting and decided to cut the Repo rate with 25 basis points to 6.25 percent. The decision was made to support domestic economic activity and to maintain the one-to-one link between the Namibian Dollar and the South African Rand.
