The Master of the High Court, Trust Division, has implemented a new electronic case management system platform for the registration and administration of trusts. This system went live on 21 February 2025 and currently supports only new trust registrations.

The migration of data from the previous system to the new platform was initially scheduled for completion by 30 June 2025, but the completion date has been delayed to 31 August 2025. Until the migration is finalized, all applications relating to existing trusts, including trustee or beneficiary changes, trust deed amendments, and deregistration’s, must be submitted manually to the Master’s office.

In light of these delays, it has also been confirmed by the Master of the High Court that STARC Secretarial (Pty) Ltd, as the trust administrator of your trust, will be required to manually submit all trust financial statements and income tax returns as required by the Act, before 30 September 2025. Once the data migration process is complete and the system is fully functional, our offices will proceed with the necessary electronic submissions on your behalf.
